1966 Lamborghini 400 GT

When Ferruccio Lamborghini moved from tractors to cars, he decided to make a car better than any Ferrari. His biggest problem with the Ferrari models was the lack of quality. So, with the best team possible - made of people like Gian Paolo Dallara and Gitto Bizzarrini - he started to design cars. After he revealed his first prototype the 350 GTV at the Turin Auto Show, he moved onto production models. The first one was called 350 GT, a model powered by a V12 engine that delivered 270 hp. Lamborghini made a total of 120 units. The 350 GT then evolved into the 400 GT - a a 2+2-seated sports car revealed at the 1966 Geneva Auto Show. 1963 Lamborghini 350 GTV

Lamborghini 350 GTV was the first prototype unveiled by Lamborghini in 1963. It previewed the first production model: the 350 GT. It was unveiled at the 1963 Turin Auto Show and if we consider that Lamborghini was a tractor manufacturer since that moment we can imagine that the 350 GTV stirred much attention. The interior was leather while the finish was a bright metallic blue color. The engine was not installed in the car because it would not fit. The vertical carburetors were too large and did not fit under the hood. Only recently has the vehicle been restored and the chassis was altered to allow room for the engine. It was powered by a V12 engine that delivers 360 hp at 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 240 lbs-ft at 6000 rpm. The top speed...
